Welcome to CLEP Accounting

In an independent study class you are responsible for what you study and what you do. Here are my suggestions:

• Go over the chapter objectives in OpenClass
• Read through each chapter and take notes while you read. Use whatever note-taking strategy you are comfortable with. 
• Create a list of each chapter's  key terms and define them by reading around each word. Don't use the glossary to copy definitions. You could use StudyBlue for this activity.
• Watch the on-line video tutorials in OpenClass and take notes.
• Work through the Practice Problems at the end of each chapter. (Working papers are available in OpenClass for many of these problems)
• Work through the Exercises in any areas that you are still struggling. (Working papers are available in OpenClass for many of these problems)

You will have chapter quizzes about every 3 weeks and a unit test at the end of each unit. Check the calendar for specific dates. All quizzes and tests will be taken in the East Leyden Testing Center (in the study hall). You may take these during study hall or from 2:30 to 3:25.
